Whilst social media can be great for catching up on news, connecting long-distance with friends, and meeting new people who share our niche interests, recent studies have shown that the average internet user spends around 2 hours a day on social media and messaging sites, however, we’re all guilty of spending much longer on occasion!

Painting can be both therapeutic and productive, and contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to be an expert to try it out. A painting kit is a great way for beginners to explore their creativity and express themselves, so why not grab one and get colourful? You might surprise yourself with what you can create!
Baking is always a rewarding way to spend your time, and the outcome is delicious! Not only will you have some tasty treats awaiting you at the end of your hard work, but they can be shared with friends and family too, so everyone benefits from your time away from your phone screen. Whip up some homemade delights with essentials such as a whisk, mixing bowl, and a measuring jug, and don’t forget some decorations for that all-important finishing touch.
Patience is a virtue with this one, but caring for a plant provides a regular hobby and will yield results you can really be proud of! Your plant babies will grow into beautiful decorations for your home, or you can try growing your own herbs to be used for cooking. Grab some pretty planters, plus some tools such as a trowel and a rake, and get growing!

Chatting with friends and family is just not the same when it’s done through a screen. Get everyone together for a proper catch-up and introduce some friendly competition with a game or two.
