Things have been heating up at Cherryz lately! (and by things, we mean the weather!). We may already be well into August, but we’re determined to keep summer going a little longer! It’s not every day we have a barbecue or beach trip on our social calendar, but you can make every summer morning count with the right summer morning routine. Here’s how we’ve been having a good day every day this summer!
Rise and shine with a refreshing beverage!
Avoid morning grumpiness by waking up naturally if you can, and make your bed straight away – this is a great tactic to ensure you don’t spend too long lounging around, no one wants to mess up a neatly made bed! Then head to the kitchen!
Most of us are partial to an invigorating drink in the morning to give us a burst of energy to begin our day. However, when the weathers hot, we recommend swapping out your usual hot cup of coffee for an iced one! Grab some ice, your favourite tumbler and choose a coffee flavour which suits you!
Make a healthy breakfast
There’s a reason why breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Ensuring positivity and productivity is impossible without the right nutrition. A bowl of Special K is brimming with vitamins and minerals to provide energy and can taste delicious with a huge variety of toppings so there’s no right way to enjoy it! Why not chop up some fruit for an extra burst of vitamins, or nuts for fibre? Now you’re truly ready to take on the day!
Time to freshen up
One of our favourite ways to upgrade our summer morning routine? Enjoy an enlivening shower with your favourite products, such as an invigorating shower gel and nourishing shampoo, or a scrub to prepare your skin for catching some rays. Then pat yourself dry and get ready to moisturise!
If your skin is naturally pale and sun-resistant, or if don’t have the spare 5 hours to lie in the sun hoping for a tan, it’s more than ok to cheat, in fact, we actively encourage it! Apply some self-tan lotion to your clean skin and you’ll be glowing in no time!
Organise your day
It doesn’t have to be over-complicated, but a to-do list can go a long way in keeping your day active and interesting. Use your favourite notebook and pen, and write a simple list of tasks you want to accomplish, it’ll keep your head clear and help avoid procrastination.
Food and drink
Expecting visitors? Surprise them with some homemade summer goodies such as sweets and cakes! Whilst you’re enjoying your fun in the sun, remember to put safety first and stay hydrated. We naturally sweat much more when it’s warm, and a handy water bottle is ideal for keeping on us to replace the water we’ve lost. Try to drink at least two litres a day!
